Böhm Plast-Technik merged with PZL Sędziszów

Böhm Plast-Technik started joint operations with PZL Sędziszów S.A. – the largest Polish producer of filters for motorization, industry and agriculture. The merger of both companies is aimed at strengthening production capabilities and expanding the scope of activities in the Automotive industry.

PZL Sędziszów S.A. became the owner of the majority stake of Böhm Plast-Technik at the end of February this year. Thus, the largest Polish filter producer has gained access to the most modern plastic injection technologies. In turn, for BPT, the merger of both companies means, first of all, strengthening capital and extending the production offer with new solutions, dedicated to both the filtration industry and other sectors of the Automotive industry.

The merger of our company with PZL Sędziszów, which is the leading producer of filters in Poland, opens new possibilities for BPT – says Martin Gazda, Managing Director of Böhm Plast-Technik. PZL Sędziszów has extensive experience in the filtration industry and the ambition to follow new trends in the automotive industry, i.e. electromobility. By merging our potential with the experience of PZL Sędziszów, we will develop innovative solutions for electric vehicles, thereby broadening the scope of our offer and increasing the range of operations. Cooperation in the field of electromobility is of course one of many projects that we will implement in the near future. In the long-term, we intend to jointly develop technological solutions for other areas of the Automotive industry, because our production capabilities allow us to offer customers a very wide range of services.

The acquisition of Böhm Plast-Technik is for us a very important step towards the modernization of production technology – explains Adam Sikorski, President of PZL Sędziszów S.A. – Our company intends to actively participate in the development of electromobility in Poland and throughout Europe. For manufacturers of automotive parts, this means, inter alia, greater use of plastics in production to reduce vehicle weight. Together with BPT, we want to create new filtration solutions and promote them among manufacturers of electric vehicles.
The first stage of activities after the merger of both companies is the integration of commercial structures. The next stage will be close cooperation between research and development departments in the development of new filtration solutions for the automotive industry.

PZL Sędziszów S.A., for almost 80 years, specializes in the production of all types of filters intended for the automotive, agricultural and industrial sectors. The wide range of products includes the filters of: air, oil, fuel, cabin air filters and air dryers. Extensive experience and cooperation with various sectors (including aviation, military, construction, automotive and industry) allows the company to constantly expand the offer, ensuring the highest filtration parameters.
